WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CONSULT A HOMEOPATH?
All consultations are confidential, and professional homeopaths are bound by the Society of Homeopaths Code of Ethics.
FIRST APPOINTMENT
When you come to see me, the first appointment is usually approximately an hour and a half to two hours long. You are encouraged to tell the complete history of your illness and your life, and you will be listened to intently, because it is vital to get as full a picture of 'the real you' as possible. Your treatment will then be tailor-made to your exact, individual state.
After the consultation I may spend time reflecting on the information you have given me before prescribing a remedy; in which case you will receive your prescription within a couple of days.
SUBSEQUENT APPOINTMENTS
Follow-ups normally last up to an hour, and are at intervals of 3–4 weeks. This period allows time for you to respond to the prescription, and we will then evaluate your progress together.
BETWEEN APPOINTMENTS
You will be able to speak to me between appointments as much as you wish, and I will not charge for enquiries that can be easily dealt with over the phone - but it may be necessary to book a proper consultation if the enquiry requires more time.
DO YOU NEED TO BRING ANYTHING TO THE APPOINTMENT?
When you book your first appointment, I will send or email you a sheet of questions about your past and family history to fill out, which you should bring with you when you come. Also, please bring a list of any medications you are currently taking.
MISSED APPOINTMENTS
If you cannot keep your appointment, please tell me at least 24 hours beforehand, so that someone else can use your appointment. If you do not inform me, I have a cancellation policy.
